Why should I choose Walk in Hong Kong?
We pour our hearts and souls into designing each of our tours – all our tours are professionally researched to uncover lesser-seen sides of Hong Kong. Our guides come from various backgrounds, each has plenty personal stories to share about this city.
In 2018 alone we organized over 600 tours around Hong Kong, serving over 7,000 participants. We have been featured in local and overseas media and have also been a recipient of the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for four consecutive years since 2015. We’ve also worked with a wide range of corporate clients like Mandarin Oriental, British Airways, Reebok and the University of Hong Kong since our inception in August 2013.
I am a Hong Kong local – should I still join a Walk in Hong Kong tour?
Yes, definitely! Our tours are extensively researched and thoughtfully designed so that everyone – whether you’re a first time visitor or Hong Kong native – would discover new facts and hidden gems in Hong Kong. If you’re a Hong Kong local, consider joining one of our theme-based tours such as the “Hong Kong Movie Tour: Tsim Sha Tsui”, “LGBT in the City” or the detective-themed “Stanley Mystery Tour”.
Do I have to walk the entire tour?
Yes, we will walk a leisurely pace and our tour will usually gather and end at easily accessible locations. We don’t offer coach or transportation services on our public tours.
Is there any food on the tour?
It depends on your tour. Snacks are provided on “Hello Hong Kong” and “What Do Ghosts Eat? Wan Chai Ghosts and Food Tour” while dinner and snacks are included in “Good Evening Kowloon”. If you’re interested in a food tour – join our “Story of Kowloon in 6 Tasty Dishes” or request a private booking of our “Kowloon Walled City & Food Adventure”.
What is the difference between a public and private tour?
All scheduled tours listed on our website are public tours. If you want to make a private booking or request a specific tour time and date not listed on our website, you can commission a private tour. Moreover, we also work with different corporate and educational organisations to design and research private tours on specific topics. Contact [email protected] for more information.
What language is the tour conducted in?
Most of our regular tours are conducted in English. However, our guides are fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin – let us know and we will make the arrangement.
