We pour our hearts and souls into designing each of our tours – all our tours are professionally researched to uncover lesser-seen sides of Hong Kong. Our guides come from various backgrounds, each has plenty of personal stories to share about this city.
We have delivered over 5,800 experiences in Hong Kong, serving over 105,000 participants. We have been featured in local and overseas media and have also been a recipient of the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years since 2015. We’ve also worked with a wide range of corporate clients like Mandarin Oriental, British Airways, Reebok and the University of Hong Kong since our inception in August 2013.
Walk in Hong Kong is registered with the Hong Kong Government's Travel Industry Authority as a Licensed Travel Agent (No. 353919). We are also a member of the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong (TICHK) and the Hong Kong Association of Travel Agents (HATA). What's more, our “Old Town Central” tour, “Hong Kong Movie Tour” and “What Do Ghosts Eat? Wan Chai Ghost and Food Tour” are officially endorsed and recommended by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, so you can make sure you're in safe hands when you're on any of our walking tours!
Yes, definitely! Our tours are extensively researched and thoughtfully designed so that everyone – whether you’re a first-time visitor or a Hong Kong native – would discover new facts and hidden gems in Hong Kong. If you’re a Hong Kong local, consider joining one of our theme-based tours such as the “Hong Kong Movie Tour: Tsim Sha Tsui” or “LGBT in the City.”
Most of our standard tours (1.5–2 hours) are walking experiences, conducted at a comfortable and leisurely pace. We carefully design our routes to begin and end at easily accessible locations, and we include regular stops for storytelling and rest along the way.
Some of our themed tours, such as Old Town Central, may incorporate short public transport rides (for example, the iconic Hong Kong Tramways) as part of the authentic local experience.
For full-day or multi-day programmes, we are happy to arrange point-to-point transportation to ensure comfort and convenience for your group. If you have specific mobility concerns, please feel free to contact us. We are always glad to advise on suitable options.
We are committed to making our experiences as accessible as possible and warmly welcome guests who use wheelchairs.
As each route is different, accessibility may vary depending on the neighbourhood and terrain. We are happy to tailor routes and pacing to better suit wheelchair users. If you are a wheelchair user, please contact us after booking (or before booking, if preferred) to discuss your needs. We will work closely with you to adjust the route and logistics to create a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience.
Your comfort matters to us, and we believe meaningful storytelling should be accessible to all.
It depends on the specific tour you join. Some of our experiences include snack tastings, including “Old Town Central,” "Temple Street Night Market Foodie Experience," “Stories from Kowloon Walled City: From Military Outpost to City of Darkness,” “What Do Ghosts Eat? Wan Chai Ghosts and Food Tour” and "Sham Shui Po — A Story of Grassroots Hong Kong."
If you’re looking for a food-focused experience, we recommend browsing our Experience Gallery, where you can filter by theme to explore all current foodie tours that include food and tasting elements.
As our offerings evolve from time to time, the gallery will always show the most up-to-date options.
If you have dietary restrictions or special requests, feel free to contact us — we’re happy to advise.
Most of our tours are available in Cantonese, English and Mandarin – let us know and we will make the arrangement.
