We trained a group of Hang Lung employees in the Hang Lung As One Volunteer Team as docents to deliver walking tours to explore the architecture in Sham Shui Po, Yau Ma Tei and Tai Po for youngsters from lower income families. The tours allowed the participating staff, which comprised a Board Member, a number of senior executives who are also registered architects and surveyors, and also staff from various departments, to leverage on their professional knowledge and expertise in leading students to visit renowned historical buildings in different districts.

The program won Hang Lung the second runner-up at the 2014-16 Best Corporate Volunteer Service Project Competition organized by Social Welfare Department. This honor recognizes the program’s the good utilization of Hang Lung’s professional knowledge and expertise in inspiring the younger generation with an eagerness to explore the history and cultural development of Hong Kong.
