Blending heritage, pop culture, and live storytelling on board Hong Kong’s iconic tramways

For the Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival hosted by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), Walk in Hong Kong created a dynamic Hong Kong movie-themed tram tour. This special event celebrated the city’s cinematic heritage through a hybrid format that combined a walking tour in Sheung Wan and Central with an onboard tram experience.

Led by a professional guide and moderated live with a guest from the local film industry, the movie-themed tram tour transported participants through real film locations while sharing stories, trivia, and behind-the-scenes insights. Guests engaged with film culture through storytelling, visuals, sound design, and the atmosphere of the iconic “ding ding” tram.

From Bruce Lee to indie auteurs, the programme connected audiences with the essence of Hong Kong’s cinematic legacy — all while rolling through the city’s living movie set. Learn more about our other guided experiences and creative projects.
