Commissioned as a school-based experiential learning programme, Savoring North Point invited students to explore their everyday surroundings through the lens of culture, history, and imagination. Walk in Hong Kong designed one workshop and one field tour for each P.6 class, tailored to four distinct thematic focuses—from cinema heritage to tram life, community shops, and art revitalisation.
2 Classes explored conservation and heritage architecture through the stories of iconic landmarks such as the State Theatre and Oil Street Art Space. Meanwhile, other 2 classes focused on observations of community and commerce, discovering North Point’s local flavour through Chun Yeung Street and neighbourhood retail culture. Across the programme, students were encouraged to compare past and present, reflect on local identity, and create original outputs—including conservation proposals and a hand-drawn local shop map—blending creativity with critical thinking.
