Business Meets Culture: Sustainability-Focused Study Tour for Newcastle University

Walk in Hong Kong was commissioned to curate and lead a 3-day study tour for a visiting delegation from Newcastle University Business School, designed to immerse students in Hong Kong’s evolving urban-rural dynamics. The programme blended experiential learning, sustainability themes, and cross-cultural exposure, offering a nuanced look at the city’s development and heritage landscape.

The itinerary included a full-day visit to Lai Chi Wo, where students explored sustainable village practices and revitalisation projects within a UNESCO-recognised setting. In the city, students participated in guided walking tours that revealed the layers of Hong Kong’s economic development, local entrepreneurship, and community resilience. This project highlights our strength in delivering educational programmes for international institutions, rooted in place-based insight and cultural relevance.
