AMO – Walk in Tai Po:Tai Po Built Heritage Promotion Campaign

A hybrid cultural campaign combining virtual tours, community engagement, and on-the-ground discovery

Walking Through Time: Tai Po Heritage Tours for the Antiquities and Monuments Office

In collaboration with the Antiquities and Monuments Office (AMO), Walk in Hong Kong launched the “Walk in Tai Po” Built Heritage Promotion Campaign — a multi-format programme aimed at reconnecting the public with the rich history and lesser-known stories of Tai Po. Through a combination of virtual and on-site experiences, the initiative gave Hongkongers a fresh way to discover the district’s architectural, cultural, and village heritage.

Our contributions included the design of a dedicated campaign website, development of virtual tours, and a series of guided heritage walks led by trained docents. To amplify reach, we also executed a targeted social media campaign, supported by storytelling content and community spotlights. This project illustrates our ability to deliver integrated heritage engagement that bridges digital and real-world participation, especially for government-led public education campaigns.
