Flavours of the Countryside: A Multi-Sensory Cultural Experience for Conservation Awareness
Commissioned by the Environment and Ecology Bureau (EEB) and its Countryside Conservation Office (CCO), Walk in Hong Kong played a key role in the Countryside Harvest Festival: Kuk Po “Sound, Sight, Taste Fusion”, delivering a full-service campaign to spotlight Hong Kong’s rural revitalisation efforts. Anchored in the theme “The Flavours of Hong Kong Countryside”, our work brought together video storytelling, a curated culinary experience, and thematic guided tours to showcase sustainable agriculture, conservation initiatives, and Hakka cultural heritage.
From producing a cinematic documentary to curating open-air dining in the remote village of Kuk Po, we created a deeply sensory and culturally rich experience for eco-tourists, media guests, and conservation advocates. Our guided tours further allowed participants to engage with villagers, discover revitalised heritage sites, and reflect on the evolving rural landscape through the lenses of taste, history, and place-based storytelling. This project reflects our expertise in crafting large-scale, high-impact cultural programmes that resonate with both local and international audiences.
