A Journey Through Culture: Weeklong Hong Kong Study Tour for Dubai-Based Students

In collaboration with London on Legs and Lycée Français International Georges Pompidou (Dubai), Walk in Hong Kong designed a seven-day SDG-linked cultural study tour for international students in February 2025. The programme explored the diverse narratives of Hong Kong — its heritage, socio-economic contrasts, and global positioning — with a strong emphasis on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Quality Education (SDG 4), Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure (SDG 9), and Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11).

The itinerary featured meaningful encounters with local communities and systems — from public housing estates in Sham Shui Po to revitalised heritage sites and the inner workings of one of the world’s busiest ports. Special highlights included an exclusive tour of the Hong Kong International Terminals (HIT) to explore global shipping and logistics, and an interactive session at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum where students learned about the city’s strategic maritime history. This project showcases our strength in delivering turnkey, SDG-aligned learning journeys that bridge culture, systems thinking, and global citizenship.
