Join us for a profound exploration of life and death!
Hosted by the Consulate General of Sweden in Hong Kong 瑞典駐港總領事館 and Walk in Hong Kong, immerse yourself in a unique journey through the cultural significance of cemeteries in Hong Kong. The tour offers insights into traditional beliefs and famous persons buried in Hong Kong, while contrasting perspectives from Sweden.
Besides the Aberdeen Chinese Permanent Cemetery, we will also visit the forgotten cemetery of Mount Caroline and pay tribute at the Race Course Fire Memorial, commemorating the tragic event of 1918.
In conjunction with Swedish filmmaker Sven Blume's visit to Hong Kong, Sven will introduce his documentary on Sigurd Lewerentz, a renowned Swedish architect who designed the Woodland Cemetery (Skogskyrkogården), a UNESCO World Heritage site. Join us on Mar 30th as we delve into the depths of history and culture.
