Job description

Walk in Hong Kong is passionate about creating unforgettable cultural experiences and advocating cultural heritage conservation in Hong Kong.

We are currently looking for two highly motivated internship roles, assisting Save Our State advocacy campaign in 2017. We look forward to work with young talents who are:
– Passionate about Hong Kong history and culture
– Sense of mission on advocating cultural heritage conservation
– Bright, innovative and independent

Job Duties:

Project Co-ordinator Interns for Save Our State campaign
– Plan and co-ordinate 1-year advocacy campaigns
– Develop and execute plans for exhibitions and book publication
– Write Blog Post/Press Releases
– Update our website
– Perform project-related tasks as assigned

– Experience in research preferred (e.g. research for school projects)
– Strong organizational skills required
– Good proficiency in English and Chinese
– Minimum 15 working hours per week (schedules of part-time students can be accommodated)
– Unpaid position with a recommendation letter provided

穿梭紅磡歷史 重溫香港足跡

紅磡是九龍早期發展的地區,見證著香港19世紀起的工業發展。紅磡歷盡不同年代的變遷,由昔日作為重工業中心,電廠、船塢及工廠林立,蛻變成今天的住宅及商業區。隨著黃埔和何文田港鐵站通車,這個盛載香港一段重要歷史的地區又再一次成為城市焦點, 成就追溯舊日發展足跡的好時機。

為慶祝香港社會發展回顧項目(Hong Kong Heritage Project)成立10周年,項目將會與活現香港(Walk in Hong Kong)合作,於2017年初舉辦【「廠」出新天-紅磡蛻變之旅】文化導賞團,我們誠意邀請公眾一同穿梭紅磡及黃埔一帶。活動將由活現香港的專業導賞員帶領,以新穎有趣的手法,漫步大街小巷,講解昔日船塢、中電發電廠及英泥廠等等的歷史故事,最後一站更會到訪香港社會發展回顧項目的歷史檔案庫,向參加者展示珍貴歷史檔案及展品,讓傳媒及公眾以全新角度重溫這一帶的發展足跡。
